(UPI) - The LA Dodgers rode an 11th-inning homer by James Loney to an 8-7 win over Arizona Friday that left them tied with the Diamondbacks for the NL West lead Friday.

Nomar Garciapara homered twice and Matt Kemp also hit a home run for the Dodgers, who have started the second half of the season with two straight wins.

Cory Wade (1-1) got the win by pitching the 10th inning and Jonathan Broxton threw a perfect 11th for his first save. Doug Slaten (0-3) took the loss for giving up Loney's homer on a 2-1 pitch.

The Diamondbacks got three hits and two runs apiece from Conor Jackson and Orlando Hudson but still lost for the third time in their last four games as they stranded 11 base runners.

Dodgers third baseman Blake DeWitt prevented Arizona from winning in the bottom of the ninth when he robbed Augie Ojeda of an RBI hit with a sliding catch and throw to first.

LA starter Hiroki Kuroda gave up six runs -- five earned -- on eight hits in two innings. Arizona starter Doug Davis allowed five runs -- four earned -- on five hits in three innings.
